Fairwood Suite

The most popular suite with the view of the finishing line, on a non-raceday this is very popular with banqueting, conferencing and exhibitions. With the open plan space on the ground floor, large windows with copious amounts of natural daylight, it makes the perfect space for a large event. It can hold up to 300 guests in a dining or cabaret layout, or up to 400 theatre style, the room also has the ability to split into 2 with a wall partition, meaning it is great for conferences that need a breakout area. It has its own bar in the room, 2 sets of toilets and it has disabled access.

Sports Bar Suite

A great suite for parties or corporate conferencing, the ground floor suite being on par with the Fairwood Site in size can hold up to 300 people seated on tables or up to 500 people for a party. The room has large windows allowing in natural daylight and is also equipped with 2 bars, 2 sets of toilets and disability access. The sportsbar also has the ability to partition into 2 separate areas, meaning it is suitable for smaller parties and groups also.

The Club Lounge

Usually the VIP Members area on a raceday, our club Suite is most popular with wedding parties, black tie events, charity balls and corporate dinners. It has the ability to seat 130 for a dinner, 200 for a party and 100 for a conference. It is on the 1st floor of our grandstand overlooking the home straight, with panoramic views of the whole course. It has disabled access, its own set of toilets and its own bar, therefore making it completely private.

VENUE CAPACITIES

We are able to cater for all events at Chelmsford City Racecourse. over the past year we have hosted numerous trade shows, wedding receptions, a charity christmas gift fair, inflatable 5k run, boxing, company christmas parties and more. This is alongside a number of networking meetings, business presentations and corporate events.

 

With our flexible venue ideally situated on the A131 and providing plentiful free parking, we can offer a solution for all your needs. Due to the size of the site, both inside the grandstand and across the course, we can host all manner of different events. Our team will put together a bespoke offering to suit your requirements.
