Community Events
At Chelmsford City Racecourse, we host a wide range of events throughout the year, but some are especially close to our hearts. These special days give us the opportunity to welcome members of our community to the racecourse free of charge, including children living with autism, local unpaid carers, and veterans. For more information see below.
At Chelmsford City Racecourse, charity is at the heart of everything we do
Throughout the year, we proudly host a wide range of events — from exciting racedays to meaningful community gatherings — all in support of incredible causes.
Our calendar is filled with heartfelt and inclusive events, such as our Time for Tea day, where we welcome dementia patients to enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the racecourse, complete with tea, cake, and good company. On April 9th, we’ll also be offering a safe and welcoming environment to Children with autism to experience the thrill of racing and other sensory activities in our dedicated autism zone, at our Autism in racing event.
One of our proudest moments each year is our award-winning Remembrance Raceday, where we honour our veterans and fallen heroes. Veterans are invited to attend for free, joining us in a touching tribute to those who served.
With a full year of meaningful moments ahead, we invite you to explore our events and discover how you can be part of something truly special.
