There’s unlimited fun to be had at Chelmsford City Racecourse, but we ask that all guests be responsible when attending and respect their fellow racegoer. Learn more about some of the campaigns the racecourse and horseracing industry are a part of by reading below.
We want all of our guests to have a great time at Chelmsford City Racecourse and recognise that an alcoholic beverage can play a big part of your raceday experience.
As a member of the RCA, who have partnered with Drink Aware to create the Pace Yourself campaign, we encourage all visitors to drink responsibly when at the racecourse. It is important that you and those you’re with make use of our available soft drinks and free drinking water as drinking responsibly will enhance your day and your fellow racegoers.
When the Fun Stop
Whether you are on course or enjoying our racing from home, it is important to be aware of gambling.
Racing and betting often go hand in hand with having a bet being a part of the excitement of a day at the races. We are committed to the Safer Gambling campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the risks associated with gambling, and know where to find advice and support.
The racecourse attempts to be a safe forum for gambling by working alongside bookmakers and betting partners of the sport and provide the opportunity for further promotion of safer gambling to its audience.
