Chelmsford City Racecourse is proud to announce two headline partnerships for its 2025 Showstopping Women campaign: Award-winning employment charity Smart Works. Together, these collaborations will elevate Ladies Day 2025 into a celebration of transformation, empowerment, and style-with purpose at its core.

Taking place on Thursday 19th June 2025, Ladies Day has always been a day of glamour, elegance, and racing thrills. But Chelmsford City Racecourse is redefining the day for a new era-placing women’s stories, achievements, and strength at the centre of the experience. Showstopping Women launched in 2024 to champion trailblazing female jockeys, fashion icons, entrepreneurs, and community heroes. In 2025, the campaign goes even further.

“This campaign is about more than fashion or celebration,” said Charlotte Anderson-Barrow, Creative Lead at Chelmsford City Racecourse. “It’s about confidence, visibility, and creating impact. Smart Works are leaders in empowering women, and we’re incredibly proud to bring them into the heart of Ladies Day.”

In a world where too many women are locked out of opportunity, Smart Works helps level the playing field. The award-winning UK charity provides high-quality clothing and coaching to help unemployed women get the job – and change their lives.

Last year alone, Smart Works supported over 10,000 women. Two-thirds secured a job within a month.
