Chelmsford City Racecourse raises over £600 for the Poppy Appeal
We are proud to announce that we are concluding 2022 having raised the magnificent sum of £628.32 for the The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. The annual Poppy Appeal aims to raise funds for those who are serving or have served in the armed forces.
The poppy represents all those who lost their lives whilst serving in the country’s Armed Forces. It also honours innocent civilians who lost their lives in conflict or by acts of terrorism.
In November, we encouraged our team to wear a paper poppy in the lead up to Remembrance Day. We want to thank our staff and our visitors for all contributions made, no matter how small or large, towards this wonderful charity. As without their support, raising this money would not have been possible.
We value all donations, and we are looking forward to raising more money for local and national charities in 2023.
