Oktoberfest Race Day Set for Record-Breaking Action at Chelmsford City Racecourse
Chelmsford City Racecourse is thrilled to host its highly anticipated Oktoberfest Raceday this Saturday, 28th September 2024, which promises to be the most competitive day in the racecourse’s recent history.
With a packed 9-race card, the day is set to deliver exceptional sporting excitement, drawing in the highest number of declarations seen in several years, with 119 horses scheduled to run. This surge in participation is backed by 214 entries, the second-highest number ever recorded at Chelmsford City.
Racing Director Neil Graham expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event:
“We are all thrilled to have such a high number of declarations tomorrow. It is a fantastic endorsement of the track and all the hard work everyone at the racecourse does.”
This year’s Oktoberfest Raceday not only marks a celebration of competitive racing but also highlights the growth and development of Chelmsford City Racecourse as a premier destination for horse racing. Spectators can look forward to a day of top-tier racing action, enhanced by the festival atmosphere of Oktoberfest.
In addition to the thrilling races, attendees can enjoy a live performance from the Bavarian Stompers and savour a selection of beers, including traditional Oktoberfest brews, for an evening that promises to be truly memorable.
The gates open at 2:50 PM, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to experience everything the racecourse has to offer, including live entertainment, food, and festivities throughout the day.
