ITM and Chelmsford City Partnership to Continue in 2023
Following the inaugural partnership last year between Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM) and Chelmsford City Racecourse, a further six races will receive generous backing through the IRE Incentive Scheme this year, including the Listed Chelmer Fillies’ Stakes on 27 April.
The remainder of the races to be sponsored are all two-year-old contests, and if any of the six races are won by an Irish-bred horse the winning owner will receive a €10,000 voucher to be spent at the sales in Ireland.
ITM’s UK Makes Manager Síle Hayes said: “Irish Thoroughbred Marketing are delighted to continue to partner with Chelmsford City Racecourse. We are thrilled also to include a number of races at Chelmsford in our IRE Incentive Scheme.
“We look forward to working with Chelmsford City Racecourse tßo further support owners and trainers and to reward the owners of Irish-bred stock with a number of €10,000 IRE Incentive Scheme bonuses.”
Chelmsford City Racecourse is one of only seven tracks in Britain to benefit from the IRE Incentive Scheme, along with York, Chester, Goodwood, Beverley, Leicester and Doncaster.
Racing Director Neil Graham added: “Chelmsford City Racecourse is delighted that Irish Thoroughbred Marketing are continuing their association with us. Ireland has a rich history in the breeding and racing of thoroughbred horses and the €10,000 bonus scheme, redeemable at Irish Thoroughbred Sales, will help to ensure Ireland remains at the forefront of the horse racing industry.”
