Chelmsford City Racecourse to Support Essex & Herts Air Ambulance

Chelmsford City Racecourse is proud to announce that it will partner with Essex & Herts Air Ambulance for this year’s annual Family Fun Day on Sunday 14th August.

Founded in 1997, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance plays a massive role in providing fast response medical support across Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas, especially in rural areas and on motorways. The charity carried out more than 2,300 missions in 2021 with 1,200 by air.

A representative of EHAAT said “Essex & Herts Air Ambulance are thrilled to have been chosen as the beneficiary from the Family Fun Day at Chelmsford City Racecourse.

We truly are a life-saving Charity kept airborne thanks to everyone who plays our Lottery, makes a donation, enjoys our events, fundraises and volunteers in aid of EHAAT. A big thank you to Chelmsford City Racecourse for keeping us flying and saving lives.”

Family Fun Days have been a key part of the racecourse’s community support strategy with the previous three racedays raising £11,239.88, £10,422.71 and £11,739.02 for charities Help for Heroes and Havens Hospices.

This year it’s all about dinosaurs with the racecourse becoming home to Jurassic Earth, with lifelike predators including raptors, spinosauruses and the largest walking T-Rex in Europe! Children can also enjoy an interactive zone, ranger training and much more… And kids go free!
