Chelmsford City Racecourse Named Finalist in Three Categories at 2024 RCA Showcase Awards
Chelmsford City Racecourse is delighted to announce that it has been named a finalist in all three categories it entered for the prestigious 2024 Racecourse Association (RCA) Showcase Awards, the joint-most in British racing.
This achievement places Chelmsford City among the top-performing British racecourses, reflecting the venue’s dedication to excellence and innovation in racecourse operations.
The RCA Showcase Awards, supported by partners such as Great British Racing (GBR), Racing Post, Racing Together, and the Racing Foundation, recognise outstanding contributions to racecourse management, with a particular focus on customer experience.
Chelmsford City Racecourse has been shortlisted in the following categories:
Marketing for its “Pick a Winner” campaign
Racing Together Community for its impactful Remembrance Raceday
Raceday for the highly successful Good Friday Family Fun Day
Competing against leading names in British racing, including Ascot, Chester, Musselburgh, and York, Chelmsford City Racecourse’s inclusion as a finalist highlights its commitment to offering memorable race day experiences, community engagement, and innovative marketing.
Paul Swain, Head of Raceday Experience & Communications at the RCA said: “We are thrilled to announce details of this year’s Showcase Awards Finalists. Despite the well documented headwinds facing racecourses, the core principles of the Showcase Awards, excellence & innovation, are firmly embedded within our Finalists, and it is a genuine highlight of our year to share this best practice across all British racecourses and the wider industry.”
“Once again, it is wonderful to see racecourses of all sizes and from all corners of Great Britain represented. Our sincere thanks to the racecourse teams who have carefully crafted the submissions and to our independent judging panel who intensively reviewed each of them.”
The winners will be announced during the ceremony on Thursday, 7th November at the Signet Library in Edinburgh.
Chelmsford City Racecourse looks forward to celebrating alongside the industry’s best and is proud to be recognised for its efforts in delivering top-tier race day experiences, fostering community connections, and showcasing innovation in marketing.
