2025 Chelmsford City Racecourse Fixture List
Chelmsford City Racecourse has announced an exciting full fixture list for 2025, which includes a total of 38 fixtures spread throughout the racing season.
The much-anticipated opening event will be on Thursday, 9th January, coinciding with Chelmsford City’s 10th year anniversary.
One of the highlights of the season will be the sell-out Good Friday Race Meeting, returning for the second year within a three-year lease from the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) and will feature substantial prize-money totalling £250,000, promising to be a competitive day of racing.
The first Sky Bet Sunday Series fixture to be staged at Chelmsford City and will take place on Sunday, 1st June featuring a significant £225,000 in prize-money. Notably, this will be the first time ITV Racing will have broadcast live from Chelmsford City Racecourse following the success of two races shown live in April.
Additionally, racing fans can look forward to one of racing’s 162 Premier meetings on Sunday, 6th July, which will include the Listed Queen Charlotte Stakes with an impressive £247,500 up for grabs across the day, increased from £225,000 in 2024.
Furthermore, the Chelmsford City Cup, scheduled for Thursday, 21st August, has been transformed into an evening meeting, setting the stage for an exciting day of racing and entertainment.
2025 is set to be an exciting and dynamic year at Chelmsford City Racecourse, filled with a diverse calendar of fixtures which goes on sale on 02/09/2024.
