For years, Ladies Day at Chelmsford has been a highlight of the racing calendar. But this year, we’re changing the script. We’re transforming our classic concert raceday into a vibrant festival of style, fashion and fun, a celebration of the modern, showstopping woman. Racing remains at it’s heart but now with lots more exciting experiences to share and enjoy.

A new Ladies Day Experience

Imagine arriving, styled and glamorous, to discover that the racecourse grounds have been transformed into immersive villages for you and your friends to explore at your leisure.

As you enjoy the thrill of racing, you can effortlessly drift from the Fashion Village, which features the latest trends and high-end brands, to the Wellness Village, a beautiful, tranquil escape where you can take a moment for yourself. At the Showstopping Stage, inspirational stories are shared, and fashion demonstrations take place in a setting perfect for capturing the photos that will adorn your social media channels.

Later, grab a cocktail and head to the Garden Lawn, filled with friendly summer games and experiences that promise endless fun and laughter. When the sun begins to set, join everyone at the Music Stage, where our Ladies Day host’s DJ set guarantees an unforgettable high to end your day.

Ladies Day Hosted By?

Music remains a central part of the new Ladies Day experience, now with added performances and entertainment throughout the day.

Leading the celebrations will be our Ladies Day host, who will oversee the festivities before taking to the music stage for a headline DJ set, ensuring a perfect conclusion to the day.

In recent years, the talented Denise van Outen and TV and radio presenter, stylist, and DJ Gok Wan have wowed guests as Ladies Day hosts, getting everyone on the dance floor with their unforgettable music sets.

A new Ladies Day Experience

Ladies’ Day is a unique celebration of women, combining fashion, music, food, hospitality, and racing.

It’s a day to treat yourself like the show-stopping woman you are and enjoy a touch of luxury while soaking up all the entertainment.

From a range of hospitality tickets to our premier restaurants and of course our general admission tickets.

In 2024 the fantastic Denise van Outen hosted our best-dressed competition this year, before starting party with a live DJ set after racing. The evening was headlined by the amazing Beverley knight who provided the soundtrack as the sun sets on a fantastic day.

Experience our exquisite hospitality, drink champagne, place bets, and immerse yourself in a day of exhilarating horseracing before dancing the night away at our Ladies Day 2026.

How old do I need to be to come to this event?

There are no children’s tickets available for this event. Under 18s can attend, but will need to purchase a full priced ticket.

Don’t forget to bring ID as these will be scanned upon arrival. If you do not have an ID, you will not be able to enter the event.

Are there additional security measures on Ladies Day?

We conduct thorough and relevant risk assessments for each and every event held at Chelmsford City Racecourse and put robust safety measures in place in line with our security policies. We follow government guidance on the number of security staff required for events.

During horseracing events, we have stewards in line with BHA (British Horseracing Authority) requirements.

For large events such as Ladies Day, we monitor the perimeter of the racecourse with robust security. With so many safety measures in place including bag searches and ID scan systems, you can enjoy your day at the racecourse confidently.
