Chelmsford City Racecourse Introduces New Bus Services for Racedays and Concerts
Chelmsford City Racecourse is delighted to announce that it will be partnering with Ensignbus to deliver two new return bus services from Chelmsford and Braintree to the racecourse for all racedays and concerts, beginning from this Saturday for Spring Beer Festival.
The service has been introduced to make transport to and from the racecourse easier and safer for those who may struggle to attend, those not wishing to use taxi services and also encouraging visitors to be able to enjoy their time at the racecourse responsibly.
Each route will offer two departure times one hour apart and one return time. The fare will be £10, offering total flexibly on which bus can be taken and which stops visitors wish to get on and off from.
The service will operate for all racedays, concerts and festivals until 10th September with the ambition to continue running it into the autumn and winter with potential add more routes, should the service be successful.
The Chelmsford service will depart from Victoria Road adjacent to Chelmsford Railway Station and stop at Anglia Ruskin University, Broomfield Hospital and Great Leighs before arriving at the racecourse. The Braintree service will depart from Braintree Bus Station stopping at Great Notley before arriving at the racecourse.
Timetables have been released until Sunday 14th August with times to be released for remaining dates in the coming weeks. For further information on the buses including timetables, please click here.
